A redevelopment project that transformed the entrance of the former Cinema Excelsior, on Corso Garibaldi in Montelupo Fiorentino, into a modern, functional and welcoming Tourist Information Point.
The project was created to provide visitors with a dedicated reference point for discovering the town, internationally known for its ceramic tradition and for the historical and cultural heritage of the surrounding area.
The works included new flooring, fitted partition walls, building services and restroom facilities, together with all the necessary finishing works. The spaces were organised so that visitors can independently access information and materials via a touchscreen display, or speak directly with the staff member in the internal reception area.
Developed in response to a request from the local community through a participatory process, the project gives a new purpose to an existing space and strengthens the town’s ability to welcome and guide its visitors.
